Rex Bossert, former editor-in-chief of The National Law Journal, will moderate a panel on law school communications and media relations with three or four additional participants from the print and web media.

Acknowledging the struggle most law schools have in responding to media in a timely and effective way, the panel will address topics including practical methods for getting good press coverage, pitching law school stories to the media, showcasing deans and professors, the do’s and don’ts of writing an effective press release, handling questions from reporters, and developing social media strategies.

Participants will receive first-hand knowledge from legal affairs reporters on how to deal with the press and make the law school of interest to the media. At the end of the presentation, participants will have a better understanding of what interests the press and how law schools can enhance their coverage by print and web media.
