    New Research in Nonprofit Law

    In this program, four legal academics will present research on cutting-edge issues facing nonprofit organizations: Professor Buckles is studying fiduciary assumptions underlying the federal excise taxation of charities; Professor Schmalbeck has a proposal for designing a new exempt category for churches; Professor Schwarz will speak on investing charitable endowments: hot topics for teaching and research; and Professor Silber will present collapsing bond markets and the nonprofit debt crisis: liability, accountability, and legal reform.
