    The program will consist of roundtable discussions on two important current topics in bankruptcy led by leading scholars. The business topic will be the permissibility and desirability of credit bidding at bankruptcy sales, including a discussion of the Philadelphia Newspapers decision. The consumer topic will be on the extent to which the means test should be applied in a formal, mechanical fashion, without regard to debtors’ actual circumstances. It will include a discussion of the Lanning and Ransom decisions. Attendees will divide into two groups to facilitate small group discussion and divide their time evenly between the business and consumer topic. The moderator-discussants will provide a brief background on each topic and facilitate a discussion with attendees.
