Unwrapping the Shroud of Secrecy: What Law Professors Can Learn from Bar Examiners

The program will seek to educate law faculty about how bar examiners create questions for bar examinations (essay and multiple choice), how they train readers to grade essay questions (holistic approach or referenced based), and how they determine an overall passing score. Panelists will also address ways in which some states’ bar examiners work with law schools, as well as how examiners and schools could work together more closely in the future.
