Ethical legal technology innovations require meaningful collaborations among lawyers and technologists (software developers) and others, to promote accountability, equity, and inclusivity. While it takes considerable courage to overcome the many barriers to interdisciplinary cooperation, this symposium will feature a diverse group of legal educators who are leading initiatives to produce new learning frameworks, curriculum, and resources for ethical legal technology development and education. Attendees will learn about how ethical legal technology innovation can improve racial and social justice, expand access to justice, the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, as well as how law schools are successfully implementing initiatives.

    Panel 1: Justice Innovation

This panel will explore how legal education can improve racial and social justice and expand access to justice through legal tech innovation.

Panel 2: Multidisciplinary Approaches to Legal Technology Innovation

This panel will explore the discipline-specific ethical considerations related to legal tech innovation and how disciplines can better collaborate to improve innovation ethics frameworks.

Panel 3: Transforming Legal Education with Legal Technology Innovation

This panel will explore the future of the legal profession, legal education innovations, and strategies and partnerships for implementing legal tech in the curriculum.
