Sessions Description

  • Employers play a critical role in the provision and administration of health and disability insurance in the United States. Despite decades of state and federal attempts at reform, there are serious and growing concerns about access, cost, coverage, transparency, and enforcement of rights within employer-sponsored plans. These concerns, however, have an impact across multiple communities and intersect with multiple areas of law. Employee benefits law questions touch on concerns at the heart of poverty law, elder law, housing, race, disability law, gender & law, and many others. This panel brings employee benefits law into conversation with scholars in other disciplines.
