The Obama administration has been relatively quiet in its first two years regarding its Africa policy. This may be understandable, given that the president has been distracted by two inherited wars, an inherited financial crisis, and the need to repair a dysfunctional health care system. Still, Americans who focus on Africa are hoping for a clearer vision. This panel will discuss and critique the administration’s Africa policy, and may perhaps help point the way forward.
