The Section program will showcase how professors are transforming the learning environment of their classrooms through innovative and creative methods. Many of these methods have their roots in traditional academic support tenets of varying lesson plans to reach different learning styles, providing feedback throughout the semester, assessing students in creative ways, engaging students both in and out of the classroom, and encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning. The presenters will demonstrate modern classroom and teaching techniques including but not limited to: active learning activities engaging individual and groups of students, using technology to reach different learning styles, skills development in doctrinal courses, and innovative lesson plans. Participants should expect to be actively involved in the program: each portion will offer hands-on participation, and will model some of the kinds of interactive exercises and dialogue that can be adapted for classroom use. The program is geared towards both casebook and skills professors. -Click here to view Program Handout- -Click here to view Program Presentation- -Click here to view Tanya Washington's Presentation- -Click here to view Keller and Burgess' Handout- -Click here to view Keller and Burgess' Presentation- -Click here to view Pavel Wonsowicz's Presentation-
