    It takes a village to help law students develop critical skills of cultural humility, respect for diversity, and pluralism. How can law schools leverage their village stakeholders and know they are successful in this mission? This concurrent session will do a deep dive into this question and provide participants with an opportunity to engage in critical dialogue. Through an examination of a case study, challenges and opportunities will be explored relating to the roles of (1) stakeholders, (2) curriculum, and (3) teaching and assessment tools. Participants also will engage in stimulating exercises, activities, and programming that can be used to build a culture of inclusion across clinics, externship placements, classrooms, and the law school at large. Interactive activities include “I Am BUT I Am Not,” The Trusted 10, Insider/Outsider, and “A Map of Myself” with breakout room assignments. Focus will be on themes such as fostering inclusive classroom climates, developing training for externship supervisors, building community engagement, and creating curriculum. Participants will leave with strategies for engaging their village stakeholders in a shared mission around diversity, equity, and inclusion and encouraging effective collaboration to advance mission.
