Sessions Description

  • President Donald Trump’s second term has brought more disruption that many observers anticipated. Tariffs and economic turmoil ultimately have an impact on employee benefits, particularly those tied to the stock market such as 401(k) plans. Fiduciary duty changes, in areas ranging from cryptocurrency to ESG metrics, during this era ultimately also affect employee benefits. To this end, this panel includes scholars who are researching and writing about timely topics addressing these changes and how these changes will impact or currently are having an impact on employee benefits.
