Sessions Description

  • This panel will explore a broad range of topics related to the dynamic and often complex interplay between federal and state laws in family law. This year’s panel seeks to explore how legal authority is shared, contested, or shaped in matters affecting families across the United States. Scholarly papers will examine the legal, social, and policy dimensions of federal and state involvement in family law and will discuss the regulation of families, pronatalism, and autonomous contracts.
