This panel will explore the influence of international law on American constitutionalism. Speakers will explore the constitutional status of treaties, the extent to which the constitution incorporates international law, and the extraterritorial effect of American constitutionalism.
Panel II: American Constitutionalism in Comparative Perspective
This panel explores the influence of comparative constitutional law on American constitutionalism. Speakers will explore the extent to which American constitutionalism has influenced and been influenced by other constitutional regimes, the extent to which constitutional practices in other countries should influence American constitutional decision making and the light comparative constitutional practices shed on American constitutionalism.
