Sessions Description
-
Legal scholars are increasingly under pressure to self-edit and to avoid controversial subjects in their research and scholarly activities. How did we get here and what can we do about it? This program asks how law professors should think about academic freedom in relation to their scholarship and the broader purposes of legal academia and knowledge production. It examines academic freedom as the foundation of our scholarly work, as well as the purpose, uses, and misuses of legal scholarship in a time of rising political intolerance.
