Sessions Description

  • After Shelby County, did you stop teaching Section 5? How, if at all, do you approach teaching campaign finance? How do you think about teaching this subject in an ideologically diverse classroom? Do you incorporate headlines as you teach? How much time, if any, do you devote to reform proposals? Teaching election law is challenging. This session will feature perspectives on guiding students through this subject and provide a forum for sharing information, approaches, and ideas. Three authors of prominent election law casebooks have agreed to share thoughts.
