Sessions Description

  • The rollout of the NextGen bar exam, beginning this July, marks a significant shift in how students will be assessed—emphasizing skills, client-centered practice, and real-world application over rote memorization. This program examines how law schools can adapt by rethinking legal writing pedagogy, redesigning courses to integrate bar-related skills, and fostering deeper collaboration between doctrinal and skills faculty. Panelists will share concrete examples of curricular reform that respond to the exam’s integrated question sets and performance tasks, offering innovative approaches to preparing students for both professional success and the ethical practice of law in a changing environment.
