Sessions Description

  • This session explores the impact of the MAHA movement on Indigenous food sovereignty and tribal healthcare priorities; the conflict between the stated goal of reducing ultra-processed food consumption and supporting industrial food production; and the sidelining of scientific and medical expertise through judicial rhetoric, as illustrated in gender-affirming care cases and extending to a broader disregard for evidence-based approaches to health.
