Member law schools receive comprehensive periodic visits by site teams made up of law professors, university administrators, and practitioners/judges as part of the ABA accreditation/AALS membership review process. The AALS appoints one member (the AALS reporter) to the ABA/AALS site team. The reporter is a member of the joint team and also writes an additional report for the AALS focusing on the organization's core values. This workshop is designed for those who serve, or are interested in serving, as the AALS reporter, as well as schools that will be visited in the coming academic year. Speakers will discuss AALS core values, materials available to the AALS reporter, the site visit and membership review process, and the AALS site questionnaire schools must complete prior to a site visit. The workshop also provides essential information about the ABA accreditation process, as the AALS reporter also functions as a full member of the site team and will have responsibility for a portion of the ABA report.
