The law of constitutional criminal procedure is a constant work in progress, with the Supreme Court deciding several important cases every year. This panel will consider the directions of the Roberts Court's criminal procedure cases and will also touch on the area of substantive criminal law. What areas of law are changing, why, and how? What questions are in play, and what areas has the Court left alone? How are the Justices lining up in different cases, and what does that tell us about where the law may be going?
