Sessions Description

  • The vast majority of justices, judges, and lawyers who help shape and make the law have never known what it is like to need the constitutional protection of the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments. This panel explores the potential of including impacted people in how and what we teach in criminal procedure and criminal law courses. All panelists have incorporated directly impacted voices in their teaching in different ways, from co-teaching with impacted individuals to infusing the course with multimedia storytelling. The panelists include law professors, impacted individuals, and those who fit into both categories.
