Sessions Description

  • This discussion group will explore resilience as an integral practice and virtue for disaster lawyers and how others may use these strategies in crisis contexts. Lawyers often must rise to respond to crises and disasters with competence and courage in moments of acute stress and disruption. This exacts a toll on lawyers in practice or may frighten lawyers from getting involved when urgent needs arise. Through the lens of natural disaster practice, the group will explore ideas to develop resilience and capacity, so that schools, students, and lawyers may build resilient systems and practices with excellence, integrity, and care.
