The inaugural Susan R. Jones Memorial Paper Competition honors the legacy of Professor Jones, a prolific scholar, lawyer, and GWU Law professor. The longest serving faculty member of their Clinical Program, she was also one of the first Black women in the transactional clinical space.
Gowri J. Krishna is the inaugural winner of the competition and will be presenting her work-in-progress, Scaling the Solidarity Economy: Reimagining Franchising for Worker Ownership.
This program will include works-in-progress presentations by Cassie Hazelip, presenting The Ultimate Anti-Family Ultimatum, and Sabrina Rivera, presenting Access, Equality and Exclusion: Rethinking Limited Scope Representation in Immigration Proceedings.
