Sessions Description

  • This panel will explore the role of the First Amendment in shaping America’s legacy as one of the world’s foremost democracies and as a leader in the sciences and higher education. It will address current threats to this legacy, and the role law and institutions might play in addressing those threats. Among other topics, panelists will discuss the democratic implications of current challenges to academic freedom, press freedom and the freedom to dissent.
