While American legal scholarship is predominantly published in student-edited law reviews, there is a growing trend in the legal academy towards peer-reviewed journals.  This panel brings together distinguished editors and recent former editors of some of the most prestigious journals in legal academia -- Legal Theory, the Journal of Legal Studies, the Journal of Legal Analysis, the Oxford Journal of Legal Studies, as well as the New York University Law Review -- to review the explanations, assess the merits, and canvass the prospects of this trend.
