This panel is intended to provide a perspective on the life of a dean and a forum for discussion for those who think they may have an interest in becoming a dean.  The panel will explore such topics as:

    ·        What does the dean’s job entail?  Panelists will consider this topic from the perspective of both public and private institutions.

    ·        How does the dean work with different constituencies including the larger university (if there is one)?

    ·        How is the dean’s job different from an Associate Dean’s?

    ·        What are common career paths to becoming a dean?
