This program explores the role of intellectual property (IP) professors in educating students, faculty, staff, and attorneys about uses of emerging artificial intelligence tools in the classroom and legal practice. How may IP professors be situated to contribute to these dialogues through a particular lens? The program, which features leading voices in the dialogues about the impact of AI on learning and practicing law, emphasizes building constituents’ proficiencies in AI platforms; incorporating concepts of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in use of AI; addressing academic integrity issues; and developing institutional policies surrounding use of AI in law school and practice.
