Artificial intelligence offers incredible potential for closing the significant access to justice gap. As legal aid organizations know well, they will never be able to hire enough attorneys to meet the tremendous unmet need of people needing legal services. AI may be able to increase access to legal information, help individuals solve their own legal problems, or connect them with legal professionals. But as with any new technology, AI poses threats as well. This panel will explore the potential and challenges posed by the use of AI for increasing access to justice.
