By offering a short, low-credit Winter Term course derived from casework, clinical faculty can increase social justice focused, experiential opportunities for law students without substantially increasing their own workload. An example is a Wintersession course taught at Duke Law School (Lawyering for Systemic Change: A School Policing Case Study) that utilized a group role-play based on a school policing case study to help students explore the different opportunities and challenges for lawyers involved in systems change efforts.
