As successful constitutional litigation feels further out of reach, national government funding for legal services decreases, and legislative protections for the poor are limited, law students must be trained and supported in ways that are reflective of the current conditions of poverty law practice. Many who practice and teach in this space, recognize that meaningful legal strategy must be collaborative in nature and approach and designed in partnership with community organizations and movements. This session will showcase the creative ways that law faculty are responding to the opportunity to innovate and inspire the next generation of collaborative social justice advocates.
