The COVID-19 pandemic has uncovered stressors and failings of our health care system and has revealed certain opportunities. This panel discussion explores how the COVID-19 pandemic impacts proposals for health care coverage reform. We will be looking at selected issues through the lens of lessons learned from and issues presented by the pandemic. The panel will discuss single-payer health reform, reinsurance of health risks, market dynamics and competition policy, and integration of sociolegal needs screening with contact tracing.
