Immigration policy has gone through many substantial changes over the past decade. President Biden promised an ambitious immigration policy strategy that would roll back the most exclusionary measures of the Trump administration and enact more inclusionary ones, but the biggest changes require congressional action. This panel explores the immigration challenges facing the new administration. How much of the Trump architecture has been dismantled? What changes are likely to stay? What is the status of legislative reform, and what are the prospects for future immigration legislation? What will become the hallmarks of the Biden administration immigration agenda, and will they endure?
