Providing clinical services in underrepresented communities is always challenging. In this discussion we will explore some of the factors of why the rural context is underrepresented. We will also discuss the unique needs for partnerships for achieving buy-in and participation, and the challenge of funding. We will also discuss how clinical practice in these areas overlap with non-university initiatives such as those from a state bar or other non-profits for addressing legal needs.
