When the role of the federal government in environmental sustainability wanes, the implementation of state and local laws warrants greater attention. This program explores specific examples of how state and local governments have or have not addressed environmental sustainability and considers the larger legal principles of law, culture, and economics that can create obstacles for environmental sustainability efforts. This program will use two panels and ten short-form presentations.
