Over the last 15
years, the Africa-China relationship has expanded dramatically driven by
exponential growth in trade and economic investments that have resulted in
increasing social, political and legal interactions between Africa and Asia.
The rapid expansion and intensification of this relationship raises a complex
set of inter-related issues that unfold in a context shaped by the persistent
influence of the colonial legacy in Africa, which has contributed to
persistent poverty and instability in a number of African countries. We are
seeking papers that address all legal, political and development aspects of
the Africa-China relationship. Papers may focus on a single African state or
regional and international dimensions of the relationship.
