The goal of our session is to inform and educate fellow clinicians on the ever changing realities and practices we have found to be necessary to navigate clinical operations during the COVID-19 pandemic at our respective
clinical education programs and law schools.
The Learning Objectives:
1. Highlight the challenges associated with the development of a clinical experience which places an emphasis on engaging in safe practice operations, ever changing policies on a law school and university level, and observing our clinical pedagogy best practices while acknowledging that said operations may need to be modified expeditiously to address the daily developments of COVID-19
2. Recognize, understand and address the impact these new COVID –related operations have on student –to-student interactions as well as student-professor interactions.
3. Recognize, understand and address the impact these new COVID-related operations have on client interactions and accessibility as well as community outreach.
4. Determine how to ensure we provide our clients with zealous and effective representation while adhering to COVID- related orders, emergency directives and policies issued by our state and federal court systems.
