    This session explores the intersection between democracy and diversity. The panel introduces the concepts of democracy and liberty, and explores how these concepts intersect with election law. The panel then explores the importance of a diverse U.S. citizenry possessing power and ownership relative. Next, the discussion group will explore the intersection of affirmative action jurisprudence and democracy. Following an overview of admissions processes, panelists will discuss how these processes intersect with the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2023 decision. They will then discuss the negative impact of this decision on democracy, and the responsibility of law schools to continue to pursue diversity.
