    Engaging in poverty law practice and teaching has always required the courage to stand with the least privileged among us against oppressive power structures. The imperative to do so remains urgent today. While law school curricula remain disproportionately focused on federal courts and federal appellate law, increasingly state courts are considered more likely sites of progress for the foreseeable future. This session will showcase the creative ways that law faculty aim to inspire the next generation of social justice advocates to work in poverty law-related practice areas primarily situated in state courts.
