Unfortunately our students experience personal crises in law school that can impact their academic performance in law school. This panel will review the types of crises frequently at issue and provide suggestions and strategies for assisting students during these difficult times. The panel will provide information related to: assembling a student crisis management team to work on rapid-response and prevention methods; working with legal counsel, parents, public safety and outside law enforcement; and resources for assisting students with the emotional, mental and physical effects of the crisis. The panel will also discuss options for modifications to law school policies and opportunities for crisis response assessment.
