    How do we continue to teach constitutional law, authentically, given a body of increasingly untethered Supreme Court decisions? Highlighting alternative concepts and resources, this panel suggests teaching constitutional law from a critical perspective may provide the antidote to a malaise engendered by decisions like Citizens United, Shelby County, Dobbs, and recent decisions, in which the Court, as Mystal notes, “legalized bribery of public officials, declared the president... immune from criminal prosecution for “official” acts and made the power to issue regulations subject to the court’s unelected approval.” Critical approaches may allow for more authentic, realistic and yet aspirational teaching.
