    The federal government has reduced its role in environmental issues during the current administration. At the same time, many state and local governments have long been leaders in the area of sustainability. This program focuses attention on state and local governments and explores specific ways that they are or are not tackling environmental sustainability and considers the larger legal principles of law, culture, and economics underlying these efforts.
