The service component of “Teaching, Scholarship and Service” is certainly a wonderful way to make friends at your law school, but it will take you away from teaching and scholarship. It is tempting to serve on many committees at the law school, university, and community. How can you find a good balance so you can be an effective teacher, a productive scholar and a good citizen? When should you say “Yes” or “No” to service? The first two concurrent sessions will focus on Service and Professionalism for tenure-track faculty.
