In SCOTUS confirmation hearings, Ruth Bader
Ginsburg said, “the decision whether . . . to bear a child is central to a
woman’s life. . . . when Government controls that decision for her, she is
being treated as less than a fully adult human. ” On June 24, the Court in
Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, stripped that constitutional
right from more than half of Americans. Roughly half of the states have banned
or plan to ban or restrict access to abortion. This panel explores how to move
forward without the protections of a constitutional right.
