Legal education has faced nonstop changes in standards, policies, and legal practices from the U.S. Supreme Court decision on race-based admissions to anti-DEI legislation to major changes to GRAD plus loans. How does law school enrollment fair through it all? The 2024-2025 admission cycle saw a record-breaking year with applicant rates soaring compared to recent years. Using LSAC data, this session will take you back through the most recent application journey focusing on enrollment trends from 2021 to 2025 by exploring (1) who is enrolling in law school, where students are enrolling, and how class composition at schools are changing over time; (2) the applicant behavior trends; and (3) test taker trends. The goal of this session is to provide contextualized data to equip law schools and stakeholders as we work together to effectively support access, equity, and fairness in the journey from prelaw through practice.
