Legal pathway programs work to reduce barriers to the legal profession. These programs often work independently to address the unique needs of their target populations. Despite efforts and increased higher education attainment and racial diversity in the law school applicant pool, admission rates for Black and Latiné applicants have remained stagnant for over a decade. Continued study reveals that an interwoven and collaborative approach towards addressing inequities can significantly strengthen efforts. This session explores the many types of pathways working to support equity and how data can be leveraged to build bridges towards specialized services that best tackle institutionalized barriers.
