While U.S. legal education experiences challenges from several dimensions domestically, it remains an important model for efforts to reform legal education outside of the U.S.  At the same time, U.S. legal education is significant for many lawyers first educated outside of the U.S. as an element in building their careers.  In this session, speakers will draw from their research on legal education outside of the U.S. to highlight the impact and role of U.S. legal education in other countries and in the development of legal careers.  Their comments will contextualize the conversation about reforming U.S. legal education and provide insight into how it is valued and evaluated.
