The Scholarship Support Workshop is designed to support new and emerging scholars in identifying scholarly topics, developing writing strategies, and obtaining publication. During the workshop, we will (1) consider the advantages clinicians have as scholars, and brainstorm about ways to overcome writing barriers; (2) discuss the nuts and bolts of the presentation and publication processes; and (3) share (optionally) a scholarly idea in a quickfire format. For many participants, this is the first time they have articulated their scholarly ideas in public. Attendees do not share written work or drafts. The supportive feedback offered in these sessions has helped motivate many new scholars to complete their articles. We provide attendees with a Workbook that includes a variety of readings about the scholarly writing process.
