Sessions Description

  • Changing times call for changing methods. The NextGen Bar Exam will test foundational lawyering skills, some jurisdictions have modified their licensing requirements to include practice-oriented assessments, and at least one jurisdiction is developing its own exam. Meanwhile, employers expect new graduates to be immediately effective. This heightened emphasis on practical readiness requires law schools to adapt their teaching approaches. This session will spotlight approaches to cultivating practice ready skills in all students, from those at the top of the class to those who are struggling. The session will be relevant to teachers of all fields.
