    Attendees will learn how a sabbatical semester spent in practice can enrich the professor’s teaching, spark creativity in scholarship, and help the professor guide students as they form a professional identity. The panelists will speak from personal experience about taking a sabbatical in the following positions: the district attorney’s office, in judicial chambers, and in the field of pro bono. In addition to speaking about his own sabbatical, Dean Martin Pritikin will provide the administrative perspective on such sabbaticals. Additional topics will include securing administrative support, finding a placement, making the most of the experience, and unexpected benefits for the professor and law school. Take-aways will include a timeline, a proposal template for administrative approval, and tips for success
