This program explores the line between commercial law and regulation, considering where they interact, overlap, and have nothing to do with the other. The lines between commercial law and regulation rose to national debate when South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem vetoed the 2022 UCC Amendments and went on Tucker Carlson to discuss how the "Universal Commercial Code" would lay the groundwork for federal regulation on central bank digital currencies, and when Florida's Governor De Santis later declared that he "banned CBDCs within the Florida UCC." However, there are other areas of intersection and overlap that this program will also explore.

    Business meeting at program conclusion.
