It has been a decade since the Financial Crisis of 2007-8, and some academics and policymakers are now starting to wonder what the next financial crisis might look like. In particular, questions have been raised about the limitations of regulation implemented in the wake of the last Financial Crisis, in terms of anticipating and addressing future threats to stability. At the same time, other academics and policymakers have expressed concerns that the financial stability regulation implemented post-Crisis is stifling economic growth. These concerns have informed the Trump Administration’s regulatory agenda. This program will explore these conflicting views and other topics related to the stability of our financial system.

A virtual business meeting was held prior to the Annual Meeting.
