What impact does the insurance industry have on national security policies? How do insurers regulate cybercrime, terrorism, political violence, and force used by police and military contractors? A joint program between the Insurance Law Section and the National Security Law Section will explore these complex questions. Bringing together representatives from government, private practice, the insurance industry, and academia, the panel will focus on the often-unexplored role of insurers in regulating national security matters. The session will include a dynamic conversation on modeling and underwriting national security risks and leveraging insurance to enhance the resilience of our democracy and critical infrastructures.
